During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jacob Elordi said that filming the third and final season of Euphoria felt like six weeks of torture for him. He stressed that the role required intense physical effort and prolonged periods of discomfort.
He detailed that his character endured numerous confrontations, including chases, beatings and being confined in a coffin. According to Elordi, the scenes were deliberately staged to convey the character’s psychological strain.
The actor added that he spent two days straight inside a coffin wearing prosthetics and a fake tongue, with his vision impaired, before snakes were placed inside the coffin as part of the set design. He described these elements as especially taxing.
Despite the hardship, Elordi previously said he was satisfied with how his character’s arc concluded. He considered the ending fitting, given the character’s past mistakes and dark choices.
The season also features the death of Zendaya’s character due to a fentanyl overdose, which Elordi noted fits the show’s grim tone. All three seasons of Euphoria are currently streaming on HBO Max and Now in the United Kingdom.
