Authorities stress that the proceedings are ongoing and the presumption of innocence applies. The regional court has admitted the case to trial, and for victim‑protection reasons parts of the hearing will be held behind closed doors. The indictment focuses both on the physical violence and on the violation of the victim’s right to control the use of her own image.
